We believe that a happy life is a social one: a life filled with interactions that stem from meaningful relationships.

Whether you are five years old or ninety-five, meaningful relationships provide the basis for healthy social wellbeing.

To feel part of a community, of value to society, and to engage in positive, satisfying relations with others is important at any age.

Sadly, elderly residents in care homes often experience loneliness, boredom, and depression.

We aim to support the formation of friendships between residents and volunteers in elder care homes throughout central Auckland.

These friendships may involve an hour-long chat once a week, solving a crossword puzzle together each month or simply having someone to sit next to while watching television.
